Beavers Cause Deepwoods Flooding

A colony of beavers is expected to cause minor flooding in the Deepwoods neighborhood of south Shreveport. These beavers have created dams in small streams that drain excess rainfall from the land behind the neighborhood.

The flooding is expected to affect the yards of homeowners in the Deepwoods neighborhood and damage existing vegetation.

To combat the rodents, the community has considered bringing in a team of professional beaver trappers—who estimate up to three months passing before the wooded area is beaver-free again.

Questions have been raised by concerned members of the community about the fate of the beavers, and these questions have yet to be answered. As of this story, no final decision has been made concerning this trapping team, and the threat of flooding remains as the beavers continue to thrive in the Deepwoods area. This is the largest beaver issue in this area to date.
