Is Juggling the Hidden Key to College Tennis? [1]

Shreveport, LA - College athletics is a dream to most but a lifestyle for athletes like Sara Sofia Sanchez Molano.
Molano turned her dream into reality by finding that the key to college athletics is learning how to juggle academics and training.
Molano says, “I just focused on studying very hard in high school, having good grades, and at the same time playing tournaments in Colombia, trying to perform in the tournaments very well but at the same time having good grades because that’s what the coaches look for in a scholarship.”
To juggle school and tennis, Molano must prioritize her sleep and studies. This is easier said than done, as she gets most of her studying done after classes and practice.
Molano achieves this by taking every chance to study after workouts and late nights while following a strict daily workout routine.
Molano says, “I workout every day for 1.5 hours in the gym doing work from my tennis coach in Columbia. Then, I always try to go to the court to hit the ball with my teammates whenever someone wants to hit. Then I try to do some exercises on the court."
This preparation did not go to waste as it led Molano to win both doubles and singles on February 7th against McMurry and TAMU-Texarkana.
Molano’s ability to juggle her schoolwork and intense athletic schedule set her apart from the dreamers, showing that the key to college tennis is learning to juggle.
