3 places for Shreveport/Bossier college students to hangout outside of campus

Shreveport/Bossier has lots of hidden treasures and has perfect environments for college students. We all college can be stressful and we just need time away from the library. Whether you are into nature, animals, or even science, we've got a spot! Here are three recommendations to try out after class or this weekend. 

Starting off strong the R.W. Norton Art Gallery has a great selection of art and the prettiest gardens in town. You can go and admire the art in the museum or take a nice stroll in the garden. 

The R.W. Norton Art Gallery and its surrounding grounds has a total of 40 acres to explore. The museum has 24 exhibition rooms and the garden is filled with beautiful azaleas, walking trails, and peaceful birds singing. Did I mention it's free?

Downtown Shreveport Aquarium is a great place to get hands-on with the animals and have a fun and interactive experience. Aquariums are a great place to explore for all ages! The Shreveport aquariumoffers over 300 different species of fish and approximately 1,000 total animals. You can see a wide variety of fish, including sharks, seahorses, eels, and many more, in various habitats. If you're adventurous you can touch the stingrays, starfish, and more! 

The Red River District is a great place for daytime fun. This riverside area is known for its laid-back vibe, live music, and good food. Whether you’re meeting up with friends or just want to grab a coffee and people-watch, It's a great place to soak in the local culture and explore.
